Background:

The fourth edition of the Mt Kenya Epik MTB Tour will take place from 28th to 31st October, 2017.

The Mt. Kenya Epik was created in 2014 by Africa Extreme, a company comprised of two of the very best Kenyan athletes; long distance runner Douglas Wakiihuri and cyclist David Kinjah  along with Michael Wamithi, a well known conservation professional,  and Julie Wahome of Extreme Outdoors Africa.

Each year’s route takes the riders through some of the most scenic global landscapes and challenging terrain guaranteed to push them to their absolute limits. The event draws some of the country’s best riders taking them on grueling routes through the six counties bordering the mountain – Nyeri, Laikipia, Meru, Tharaka Nithi , Embu and Kirinyaga.
